I am a Seattle native, I live in Ballard. I am married to a beautiful, wonderful woman, Yelena, and I have two great sons Max and Spencer. My grandfather, Howard Heath, was an entrepreneur and manufacturing mastermind as well as a US patent holder, real estate investor, my mentor and business coach. My family comes from a long line of printers and lithographers. My Father, Jay Secord, still owns and operates a printing business in Kirkland. I learned a lot from working for My Grandfather right out of high school, while I was in college. The most important thing I learned was the value of hard work and integrity.

I changed careers after finishing my business degree in project management. I was led in to the insurance business after a family tragedy that left my Mother partially disabled. I realized the value of having good coverage after that incident. I vowed to do my part to make sure my customer’s have similar, if not better protection for those tragic and unexpected events that can happen to any of us.

I have always enjoyed working with people and nothing gives me a better feeling than knowing I am able to save my customer money! What better way to make a positive impact on someone’s life than lowering their monthly expenses and providing them with the safety net they get from being properly insured? Everyone is in a different position in life and I take the time to be sure they are getting the coverage that best fits their needs. I don’t Honk and I don’t Love Vern, I don’t mind being undersold as long as I am doing the right thing for the client. I am excited by the broad array of companies I represent, it gives me and my staff many different tools to provide the right coverage, always at a great price.

I was raised in a small town mom & pop retail store that my parents owned. I learned very early in life the value of good customer service and how important it is to understand the customer's needs. I worked in retail management for years honing these skills.

After graduating from the University of Washington in 2005, I began working with Shane as an insurance agent, and have found that insurance is a great way to help people. Now I get to come to work every day with the sole purpose of helping you save money, while also providing you with the best insurance coverage and service available.

As a year-round motorcycle rider, I specialize in helping people with their motorcycle insurance policies. I also use my history and expertise with small businesses to help our commercial clients find the best insurance coverage and rates for their needs.

I started working at the Secord Agency in May of 2008. I’ve always loved working with and talking to people, which is what brought me to insurance!

I’ve lived in Ballard for almost 20 years, and I LOVE Seattle! I’m a hardcore Sounders and Seahawks fan!
